Gisteravond kwam er via de gebedsbrief onderstaan bericht binnen.

DRINGEND GEBED GEVRAAGD !

Er kwam zojuist een telefoontje uit Uganda met het volgende bericht :
Piet en Pita zijn in Zuid-Afrika overvallen.
Daar is bij geschoten waarbij Pita geraakt is en nu op de ic in het ziekenhuis ligt.
Het is ernstig !
Piet is van al zijn spullen beroofd.

Bidt alstublieft voor hen.

Medewerkster hulporganisatie Noah’s Ark Oeganda zwaargewond16-11-2011 20:41 | gewijzigd 16-11-2011 21:15 | Kerkredactie | reacties (2) JOHANNESBURG – Een van de initiatiefnemers van de christelijke kinderhulporganisatie Noah’s Ark in Oeganda is woensdag bij een beroving in Johannesburg zwaargewond geraakt.
Dat meldt de organisatie op de sociale netwerksite Facebook.

De gewonde is Pita Buitendijk, die samen met haar man Piet een kinderhuis in Oeganda heeft opgezet. Het echtpaar verblijft momenteel voor een periode van twee weken in Zuid-Afrika en werd woensdag op straat in Johannesburg beroofd. Daarbij werd Pita beschoten met een vuurwapen. Ze ligt momenteel op de intensivecareafdeling van een ziekenhuis in de Zuid-Afrikaanse hoofdstad.

De meest recente berichten van Noah’s Ark wijzen uit dat Buitendijk inmiddels buiten levensgevaar lijkt en aanspreekbaar is. Donderdag moet ze een operatie ondergaan.

Pita is currently being operated on in Johannesburg. However her injuries and situation is more serious that we were told last night, and the operation is dangerous so please pray for Pita

Good news from South Africa! The operation has gone well and Pita is no longer in life threatening danger. Piet and Pita were attacked by a robber as they were parking their car outside a guesthouse in Johannesburg. Pita was shot in the head during the robbery. The doctors removed splinters and the bullet from her skull. She is now recovering. Although she is sick from the anesthetic, lost a lot o...f blood, and it remains to be seen how her head heals in the coming days. She is conscious, she can speak and the doctors are positive about the operation. Piet was also shot at, but the bullet missed. However, as he fought the assailant he fell on his knee which is now bleeding internally - so he is presently undergoing medical treatment as well. We thank God and continue to ask for your prayers to join ours.

Good news from South Africa! We had contact with Piet again this afternoon. He was in a positive mood. Pita has left the IC, so that is really quick and we are thankfull for that! They removed the inside blood from Piet's knee and this afternoon he was going to have a scan, to see how the knee is now. Rien (Piet and Pita's son) and Arnout (missionary at Noah's Ark) have arrived at the hospital today to be with them and arrange the things that are needed.
The kids are doing well, of course they miss papa and mama, but they are very happy that mama is doing better.
